Recognisable by its woven configuration and round posts, Brifen continues to be the safer choice in wire rope barriers. The interwoven characteristic of the system accommodates tighter radius curvatures than other systems at the same post spacings which reduces the risk of wire rope springing out onto road way from impact, especially over those of a parallel type. Brifen WBRS woven characteristic also gives a constant deflection rate, unlike parallel systems, and has no limit on the run length, reducing the amount of end terminals required.
